MICAS Joins O-RAN Alliance
As the developer of RU solution for small cells chip, MIACS has officially joined the O-RAN alliance. O-RAN (Open Radio Access Network) is jointly established by 12 global top operators such as China Mobile, Germany Telecom, Japan NTT DoCoMo, France orange and American AT&T. Members of the organization have very high technical requirements and strict screening criteria. In 2019, MICAS was recommended by Chinese operators to become a member of the O-RAN alliance.

The work of O-RAN alliance includes realizing open interface and API capabilities to support more flexible networking and richer and high-quality services; Introduce new technologies such as VR and AI to realize intelligent wireless network based on big data; Actively study open source and white box solutions, improve joint innovation ability and reduce industrial costs.
Historical review
● In December 2019, MICAS was invited to participate in O-RAN Plugfest 2019
● In January 2020, as an important member of O-RAN, MICAS participated in the 5G base station OTIC plan initiated by domestic operators ( OTIC is Open Testing and Integration Centre. established by China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom）
●In October 2020, micas participated in and completed the technical requirements for open front-end interface of OTC led by domestic operators
